Literacy Through Imagination

We bring the gift of books and storytelling to talented kids struggling to read. We then turn our newfound readers into leaders.

Components of Reading Literacy

  • Phonics

    The relationship between sounds and letters.

  • Fluency

    Speed, accuracy and prosody (proper expression).

  • Vocabulary

    More words = more understanding.

  • Comprehension

    Unpacking and understanding the message.

Our students journeyed to the world of Wakanda, transforming themselves into the characters of Black Panther, Marvel's first major Black superhero movie on the big screen!

Empowerment is at the
Heart of Our Mission

Our mission is to turn 3rd-7th grade students into life long readers. 

To do this, we develop scripts based on mainstream personalities and notable personalities to build students’ interest in reading.

Confidence

Students express themselves more effectively, leading to greater confidence in communication skills and a willingness to share what's really on their minds.

Curiosity

As students read about new worlds, perspectives and ideas, their curiosity is sparked. Soon, they begin to seek out information on their own.

Opportunity

Literacy is a foundational skill for success in the world. With it, students have access to higher learning, a range of career paths and greater potential.
